Radioblocks, and in particular its Work Packages 4 and 5, which focus on big data processing, is highly relevant to ODISSEE’s goal of managing the massive data expected from major research infrastructures such as the SKA Observatory and CERN’s Large Hadron Collider.
Marjolein Verkouter (JIVE), co-lead of Work Package 5 with Rob Beswick (UNIMAN), delivered an engaging presentation of Radioblocks at the ODISSEE All-Hands Meeting (January 20–22, 2026, at CERN, Geneva). She illustrated the project’s contributions with concrete examples across the signal chain: novel detectors and front-end components, digital receivers, data transport and correlation systems, and big data processing solutions.
Representatives of other European projects — including SPECTRUM Project, interTwin, and EAR — also shared their perspectives and achievements. A truly significant event for the European research community!
